Chicken breast with potatoes and sour cream.

Hi guys, i made this last night and it was very tasty, and the whole thing was gone in less than half hour.

For this recipe you will need the following ingredients:



1 kg of potatoes,
6-700 gr of chicken breast,
500 gr of sour cream,
100 gr of cheese,
2 teaspoons of thyme,
2 teaspoons of garlic powder,
2-3 tablespoons of oil or butter,
salt and pepper.





Start by peeling the potatoes and put them in a pot and boil them with some salt for 5-8 minutes, just so that they are cooked only half way.

Cut the chicken breast in small pieces and season with some salt and pepper and fry in a pan with about a tablespoon of oil, fry until they get some color and set aside.

After the potatoes are done and drained put them in a bowl with the thyme, garlic and season well with salt and pepper and taste to be sure that you have enough salt.

Then brush the the tray( i recomend glass), and add your potatoes, and your chicken on top, or you can mix the chicken with the potatoes.

Now add half of the grated cheese to the sour cream and mix well, then add the mixture on top, and give the tray a couple taps on the table so that it will settle.

Then top it with the rest of the grated cheese and put it in a low to medium heat owen for about 2-30 minutes or until the cheese is geting golden brown and its ready to eat, but i recomend to let it cool of for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
(If you want you could add some crispy bacon to it as well.

Lentils stew with smoked bacon.

I recently discovered lentils recently and i have to say that i am very impresed at how good they are and they can replace beans or peas in recipes, from now on i will cook a lot more with them.

For this recipe you will need the following ingredients:

500 gr of dry lentils,
5-600 gr of smoked bacon or ham,
3 medium onions,
3 cloves of garlic,
3 tablespoons of tomato paste,
2-3 bay leaves
1 tablespoon of bell pepper paste,
1 tablespoon of cumin seeds,
1 teaspoon of smoked sweet paprika,
1 vegetable stock cube,
2 tablespoons of wheat flour,
some oil for sauteing onions,
salt and pepper to taste.



First thing you have to do is soak the lentils in some hot water for one and a half hours.

While your lentils are soaking you should start chopping the onions, after your lentils are hydrated you are ready for the cooking.

Put some oil in a pot and start sauteing the onions until they get soft, then add your bacon and the garlic colves whole and fry them together, and also add the bell pepper paste and the bay leaves.

After the sauteing is done add the cumin seeds and your lentils, then add water just enough to cover and the tomato paste.

Boil for about 15-20 minutes or until the lentils are done, turn down the heat and mix 2 tablespoons of wheat flour with some water until you get a thick liquid, and add this liquid to the pot and stir until its well mixed.

Just before you are done add the smoked paprika, salt and pepper.
(If you cant find bell pepper paste just chop about half a pepper really smal and saute with the onions)

Serve this with some bread and some pickles or sauerkraut.

Potato salad.

Im not sure about the origin of this recipe i think it is german or american(let me know), but we can all agree that no matter what the origin is it's very tasty.

For this recipe you will need the following ingredients:



500 gr of potatoes,
100 gr of ham(optional),
4-5 eggs,
1/2 teaspoon of sugar,
2 spoons of lemon juice,
2 spoons of sweet mustard,
8-10 spoons of mayonnaise
some fresh parsley(optional),
salt and pepper to taste.




Start by boiling the eggs and potatoes, wich you could peel and cut or boil with the skin on and remove later.

After the egg's and potatoes are boiled, cut them as small as you want and put them in a bowl with the diced ham and chopped parsley, and then start mixing the mayonnaise with the mustard and lemon juice, then add the sugar and give is a mix, after its all mixed add some salt and pepper in small increments and taste as you go.

You could use white or black peper, i recomend the white one for this.

After you added the pepper and salt to taste its ready to eat, it can be served as a side dish or as it is with some bread.

Crispy fried chicken wings recipe.


This recipe i perfected over 4-5 year's and i think its pretty good, all my frieds love them and i recomend you make this yourself, in my opinion is better than kfc.

For this recipe you will need the folowing:
1 kg of chicken wing's,
250 gr of breadcrums,
100 grams of plain flour,
2 eggs.
100 ml of milk,
1 teaspoon of ginger powder,
2 teaspoons of garlic powder,
2 teaspoons of chilli powder or paprika,
1 teaspoon of rosemary powder,
2 teaspoons of curry powder,
salt and pepper


Start by cuttin the wing tips off and then cut them in half, and put them in a pot of boiling water and boil for about 20 minutes.
After you drained the water off and let them cool just enough to be handled,
Mix 2 teaspoons of salt in the breadcrum with the rest of the spices and about a teaspoon of pepper. Now  season the flour with a half teaspoon of salt and one half teaspoon of pepper.
Separate the eggs from the shells and put them in a bowl and beat them, after that you add the milk and mix again.
Now take a piece of chicken and coat it in the flour and shake off the excess flour, after that put it in the egg mixture coat well and move it to your breadcrum mix, make sure to coat well, and then put them back in the egg mixture, then back in the breadcrums, repeat the process for all the remaining wings.
Heat the oil on a medium heat because you dont want to burn them, and because they have already been boiled there is no reason to worry about them beeing raw inside or burnt on the inside or both.

Homemade popcorn chicken recipe.

Popcorn chiken is a great recipe for party's and all kind's of gatherings or just as a treat for your family or yourself, that can be deepfryied or made in the oven

For this recipe you will need the following:

1 kg of chicken breast,
100 gr of plain flour,
3-400 gr of bread crums,
1 and a half teaspoons of black pepper,
2 teaspoons of rosemary powder,
1 and a half teaspoon of curry powder,
1 teaspoon of ginger powder,
1 teaspoon of chilli powder,
2 teaspoons of salt,
2-3 eggs,
100 ml of milk,
And 500 ml to 1 liter of cooking oil

Start by cutting the chicken breast into cubes the size that you prefer i recomend you make them about the size of a normal popcorn, after that you will mix all the dry ingredients exept the white flour, after you mixed well the breadcrums and the seasonings you will beat the eggs with the milk, then season the flour with some salt and pepper.
After you have all the ingredients prepared, you will start by coating the meat with the seasoned flour, then dip them in the egg and milk mixture, the in the breadcrum that contains all the spices, and if you want them extra crispy you will dip them again in the wet mixture and then again in the breadcrums, now you are ready for deepfrying, start by heating the oil but not to hot because you dont want them to burn but cook nice and slow it should not take more that 4-5 minutes because it's breast meat, if you want to make it healthier you could pop them in the oven for about 10-15 minutes.
